The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for our senior care division is a pivotal role, requiring a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and their interdependencies. This position is essential for addressing a range of health-related challenges within our organization.

+ As the CMO overseeing our senior care operations, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and management of healthcare services across multiple locations. Collaborate closely with Area Medical Directors to inspire and guide medical teams towards delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.

+ Lead and manage the Center Medical Directors, ensuring effective execution of their roles.

+ Assess physician recruitment needs and actively participate in the hiring and contracting processes for healthcare providers.

+ Establish work schedules and assign duties for medical personnel based on operational demands and resource availability.

+ Supervise the daily functions of physician services to ensure optimal performance.

+ Focus primarily on leadership responsibilities, with minimal direct patient care involvement.

+ Cultivate strong partnerships with specialists, hospitalists, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers to create a cohesive network dedicated to enhancing senior health outcomes.

+ Oversee medical evaluations, reviews, and decisions necessary for effective healthcare plan management.

+ Monitor clinical performance and provide direction to maintain high standards of care while promoting efficient resource utilization.

+ Direct the formulation, revision, and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards for healthcare services.

+ Represent the organization at community outreach and marketing initiatives.

+ Manage departmental and physician budgets to ensure financial compliance and effectiveness.

+ Evaluate and recommend strategies to meet regulatory compliance requirements.

+ Foster effective collaboration with all departments to provide medical guidance and expertise.

+ Develop and oversee utilization review and disease management programs to align with quality and cost objectives.

+ Identify patterns of service utilization and implement improvement plans as necessary.

+ Guide physicians in the appropriate application of established clinical guidelines.

+ Supervise wellness program operations and the medical department's activities.

+ Uphold and promote Perfect Service Standards to enhance customer satisfaction.

+ Additional responsibilities as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program.

+ Master's Degree in a relevant field.

+ Valid licensure in the state of practice.

+ Preference for candidates with a background in Internal Medicine.

+ Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.

+ Minimum of 8 years of clinical experience.

+ At least 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

+ This position involves patient interaction and participation in health screening programs.

+ A strong commitment to enhancing consumer experiences is essential.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare systems.

+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

+ Understanding of best practices in coding and documentation within a value-based care framework.

**Compensation Range**

The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Actual pay may vary based on location and individual qualifications, skills, and experience. This role may also be eligible for a performance-based bonus incentive.
