**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operate and Maintain Solar Power Plants**: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of solar power plants, adhering to established standards and procedures.
- **Troubleshoot System Problems**: Identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
- **Provide Electrical Support**: Offer technical assistance with electrical components, using digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
- **Document Work Activities**: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
- **Inventory Management**: Ensure adequate stock levels of assigned equipment and maintain high-quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials.
- **Training and Development**: Train, mentor, and develop laborers into apprentices, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Ensure ongoing education to meet safety and plant requirements, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
- 3 years suitable employment experience; High aptitude and a strong work ethic is a must
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
