Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented School Bus Driver Evaluator to join our team at National Express LLC. As a key member of our safety and compliance team, you will be responsible for evaluating the competence of our drivers and ensuring that they meet our company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate driver competence using prescribed standards to determine whether their skills meet company standards and identify development needs.
  • Exhibit the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity, reporting any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to your supervisor or manager.
  • Conduct and document required evaluations, including video and performance data analysis.
  • Assist in the driver recruitment process and participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Develop and administer customer safety awareness programs and company-sponsored safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate with safety and training supervisors to notify drivers of upcoming license and/or certificate expiration dates.
  • Support the development of a safety culture within our organization.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation services by operating a school bus or other location-specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route.
  • Report any accidents or incidents per Company policy and follow Company Policy around student and/or passenger management.
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers while promoting company goodwill.
  • Safely and efficiently utilize vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment.
Requirements
  • Becomes a certified evaluator within 3 months.
  • Provides safe and reliable transportation services.
  • Reports to duty on time and maintains route on time but in a safe manner.
  • Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.
  • Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy.
  • Follows Company Policy around student and/or passenger management.
  • Presents a neat and professional personal appearance at all times.
  • Completes all required paperwork and submits to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
