Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Soliant. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the licensed Speech Language Pathologist to improve articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for each student
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Current state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-aged children with speech and language disorders
  • Experience with a variety of treatment approaches and modalities, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), PROMPT, and social communication interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
