About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our team at James River Grounds Management. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a crew of landscape maintenance professionals and ensuring that they work safely and efficiently to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Crew Members: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of crew members, ensuring they have the necessary expertise to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Work: Create schedules and assign tasks to crew members, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage Materials and Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and materials, ensuring that they are in good working condition and that crew members have access to the resources they need to perform their duties.
  • Address Customer Issues: Respond to customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality: Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to ensure that crew members work safely and efficiently, and that projects are completed to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in landscape maintenance, with a proven track record of supervising and training crew members.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates with a degree in a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: A valid driver's license is required, with a preference for candidates with a State Technician and/or Applicator license.
  • Physical Abilities: The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
