Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven produce sales specialist to join our fantastic sales team. As a produce sales specialist, you will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing trends, performing product demonstrations for staff and customers, and gathering feedback.

You will also be tasked with facilitating training sessions and assisting with new product launches. To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for the produce you work with and keep expanding your produce knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research, including desktop analysis, sending emails, and making calls.
  • Answer all product-related questions in a polite manner and address queries promptly.
  • Attend meetings, food shows, and occasionally packers and local farms.
  • Plan and assist with new product releases and events.
  • Perform product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other executives.
  • Assist with the development of business plans.
  • Identify new market opportunities.
  • Make helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or similar.
  • Extensive experience in retail, sales, and business-to-business.
  • Ability to memorize details like product specifications.
