Job Summary

South Coast Children's Society is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Coach to join our team in providing one-on-one strength-based behavior modification services to children and youth with serious emotional disturbances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child or youth.
  • Provide one-on-one behavioral coaching to children and youth in their homes, schools, or community settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, family members, and caregivers, to ensure comprehensive and cohesive treatment.
  • Implement trauma-informed interventions and behavioral modification techniques to remediate challenging behaviors and improve symptoms.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with program and contract standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field or equivalent experience working with youth at risk.
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Completion of CPR/ProACT certification within the first thirty days of employment.
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions and safely transport clients to appointments.
  • Sufficient senses of vision, hearing, and smell to operate a motor vehicle and ensure client safety.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of 10-20 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs, and walk while in route to and during family visits.
