Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:
Craft and refine architectural designs, including comprehensive drawings and specifications.

Project Management:
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to guarantee timely and cost-effective project completion.

Permitting:
Prepare and submit necessary permit applications, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations.

Client Communication:
Foster clear communication with clients to grasp their goals and keep them updated on project status.

Collaboration:
Work alongside engineers, contractors, and city planners to facilitate smooth project execution.

Construction Documentation:
Produce detailed construction documents that clearly communicate design intent to contractors.

Site Visits:
Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Sustainable Design:
Incorporate sustainable design practices into projects to align with environmental standards and client expectations.

Compliance:
Ensure all architectural designs fulfill aesthetic, functional, and safety standards.

Qualifications:
Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).

Active California Architect license.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in architecture, ideally with a focus on residential projects.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Procore.

Demonstrated experience managing permits and collaborating with city officials on code compliance.

Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities.

Bonus Points:
Familiarity with additional design and project management software such as Revit or SketchUp.

Experience with renovations, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and development projects.

Knowledge of sustainable design principles.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving needs and requirements.
