Job Summary:

Germanna Community College is seeking a qualified Physics Instructor to join our faculty team. As a Physics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching physics courses to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach physics courses in a classroom environment
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Stay current with developments in physics and education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in physics or a related field
  • Official transcripts required prior to final offer
  • Ability to use relevant technology and learning management systems
  • Commitment to student engagement and online teaching
  • Technology capability to teach remotely
  • Ability to teach in a variety of modalities, including virtually
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience
  • Work experience in the field of physics
  • Experience with online teaching
  • Substantial experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses
