Medical Care Specialist

At Barrow Brain & Spine, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will work closely with our Interventional Spine Physician to evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients suffering from acute and/or chronic spine and joint pain and dysfunction.
**Responsibilities:**
* Examines patients, obtains medical histories, and assesses health status.
* Assesses patient health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care plans.
* Provides chronic patient care, including taking histories, performing physical examinations, monitoring therapies, and prescribing medications.
* Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
* Evaluates and assesses patients independently under physician supervision and order interventional procedures as indicated.
* Documents patient information and care provided in the patient record.
* Educates patients and families as appropriate. Provides continuity of care.
* Maintains patient confidentiality.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited physician assistant (PA) program.
* Valid unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona, with no pending disciplinary actions or restrictions.
* DEA and CPR (BLS and ACLS) certification required upon hire.
* Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant in a clinic or hospital.
