We are seeking a skilled LPN Labor and Delivery nurse to join our team at Uniontown Hospital. As a key member of our labor and delivery unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and assisting with deliveries.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with patient education and support, including providing information on prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of West Virginia or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- One year of clinical experience in labor and delivery or a related field.
The labor and delivery unit at Uniontown Hospital is a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a LPN Labor and Delivery nurse, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. You will be required to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills and Abilities- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
