We are seeking a qualified Substitute School Nurse to join our team at Woburn Public Schools Health Services. As a Substitute School Nurse, you will provide professional health services and coordinate resources to support the total health of our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate student health and its impact on educational progress
  • Counsel students, parents, and school personnel to develop an action plan for eliminating, minimizing, or accepting health problems
  • Collaborate with parents and students to develop individualized health care plans
  • Coordinate health services with other health disciplines and community health programs
  • Respond to frequently encountered health and social issues, including crisis intervention
  • Administer medications and provide medically prescribed interventions
  • Maintain accurate health records and screen new students for immunization compliance
Requirements:
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • CPR with AED certification by AHA or ARC
  • Preferably experience as a Registered Nurse in Pediatrics, Community Health, or other relevant clinical nurse setting
