Role Overview:
The HR Information Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in the enhancement, testing, deployment, and ongoing management of human resource information systems (HRIS). This position acts as a technical liaison and supervises user acceptance testing for system modifications, report generation, and the analysis of workflows to identify areas for improvement and to optimize HR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct system maintenance, including the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS modules.
- Collaborate with both functional and technical teams to coordinate application upgrades and fixes.
- Maintain HRMS system tables and document processes and outcomes.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting HRMS issues and recommending solutions.
- Enhance HRIS processes by integrating software and systems for a streamlined operation.
- Perform audits on HR processes and data, taking informed actions based on findings.
- Stay updated on current trends in HRMS, focusing on product development and support.
- Propose process improvements and innovative solutions for leadership approval.
- Facilitate training sessions and develop user manuals and guidelines.
- Create and maintain essential structural data within the system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Core HR and various Oracle Cloud HCM modules.
- At least 7 years of combined experience in Information Systems.
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and Fast Formula.
- Strong understanding of data/system design principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with programming languages and PL/SQL is preferred.
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with project management tools.
