Position Overview:

The role of the Front Desk Clerk is essential in ensuring a smoothly functioning office environment. This position is dedicated to the care and support of clients and visitors, while also facilitating effective communication with family members and assisting clinical staff with various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a well-organized office in alignment with agency policies and procedures.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
  3. Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  4. Greet clients and visitors, process payments, and manage scheduling logs.
  5. Conduct financial interviews with clients and ensure accurate data entry into the database.
  6. Review and scan documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  7. Distribute internal and external mail efficiently.
  8. Prepare reports and input data as required.
  9. Communicate any discrepancies in clinical data to supervisors.
  10. Support the office team as needed and comply with the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Experience with phone systems and general office software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to read printed and handwritten materials.
  • Effective hearing for communication and phone interactions.
  • Mobility to navigate between departments.
  • Capability to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Prolonged sitting while using a computer.

This position plays a vital role in delivering outstanding service and maintaining a positive environment for both clients and staff.
