Available Shifts:
Day Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM * BLOOD BANK/GENERALIST
Night Shift: 3-12s/7PM - 7AM
Position Overview and Requirements:
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise and timely laboratory analyses by evaluating proficiency testing samples in accordance with established protocols, ensuring completion within designated timeframes.
- Take charge of departmental operations as necessary during the supervisor's absence.
- Maintain thorough records and documentation related to patient outcomes.
- Execute urgent procedures within defined turnaround time objectives.
- Exhibit sound judgment and independent reasoning in the correlation and interpretation of patient results, including conducting delta checks.
- Review pending logs and result logs; address any outstanding tasks or communicate with staff for assistance.
- Implement quality control measures as per established guidelines and manage all problematic or critical laboratory specimens/test results.
- A minimum of a 2-Year/Associate Degree is required.
- A 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- Less than 1 year of experience in a Medical Technologist role.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to secure a license during the interview process.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is preferred, particularly in Generalist.
- Specialties may include: Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.
- Possession of an Associate or Bachelor's Degree.
Salary Range: $27.09 - $XX.XX
