Job Summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality speech therapy services to our students, helping them to overcome communication disorders and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged in the therapy process.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in speech-language pathology to ensure that services are evidence-based and effective.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas license as a Speech Language Pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
  • National Certification of Clinical Competence granted by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
