Fire Academy Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Academy Instructor to join our team at South Puget Sound Community College. As a Fire Academy Instructor, you will be responsible for instructing courses during the five-month long Fire Academy program.

• Instruct courses in fire safety and emergency response procedures
• Develop and implement curriculum for fire academy program
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure program success
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fire safety and emergency response

• Recruitment through affiliated fire department to work for the SPSCC Corporate & Continuing Education Department
• Confirmation of appointment to the Thurston County Fire Training Academy from SPSCC Corporate & Continuing Education and affiliated fire department
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
