About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in a dedicated ultrasound lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • Perform technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care, utilizing efficient and safe processes.
  • Select equipment and transducers according to specifications of examination, and adjust controls to optimize image quality.
  • Start equipment and record diagnostic data on magnetic tape, computer disk, or film.
  • Monitor sound wave display screens to ensure high-quality ultrasonic patterns.
  • Photograph images of organs and remove strip printouts to obtain permanent records of internal examinations.
  • Key test data and patient information into computer systems to maintain accurate records of test results.
Requirements
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in one or more disciplines, such as Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Pediatric Sonography.
  • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer Certification (CCI) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
  • Nuchal Translucency Certification within 3 months of hire for MFM clinics.
