Position Summary

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including experience with complex spreadsheets.
  • Experience in PLC programming, Robotics Cell Design, and Materials Handling Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Processes, Change Management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structuring.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, demonstrating a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role. Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate process requirements and establish production infrastructure, platforms, and workflows utilizing Demand Flow Methodology. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, documenting, and communicating all changes driven by production floor or customer needs.
  • Coordinating the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) phase in/out process.
  • Managing ECN/ECO documentation.
  • Controlling Manufacturing Change Notice documentation.
  • Updating relevant work instructions.

Oversee the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and manage production documentation, including:

  • Validation of Work Order BOM.
  • Routing for Shop Floor Control Systems.
  • Creation of production flow diagrams, work instructions, packing instructions, and related documents.
  • Conducting time studies to calculate task times and define workforce requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining written procedures to ensure compliance with the ECO Process and alignment with ISO Certification.
  • Organizing and managing reporting of information in ERP systems for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Processing data and reports for the Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Championing workplace safety and maintaining a healthy work environment.
  • Facilitating communication between customers and company engineers regarding daily ECO operations.
  • Providing training on work instructions, manufacturing process indicators, new product introductions, key performance indicators, and engineering change notices.
  • Collaborating with production leaders to ensure adherence to processes and making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Leading Continuous Improvement Projects using Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as 6S, 6M, 5 Whys, and Cause and Effect Diagrams.
  • Utilizing KAIZEN, Six Sigma/DMAIC, and A3/3P methodologies to implement a range of solutions, including capital and continuous improvement projects.
  • Providing project status reports to internal core team managers and, when applicable, to customers.
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld in the manufacturing environment.
  • Supporting maintenance in developing the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program, outlining equipment and personnel requirements for routine maintenance.
  • Analyzing complex problems and collaborating with leadership across multiple functional areas.
  • Leading or facilitating project completion and defining technical strategies for self and others.
