Job Summary

The University of Miami Department of Radiology seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief MRI Technologist to lead the day-to-day operations of the Applebaum MRI Center in Miami. As a key member of the department, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, compliance with budgetary policy, and the highest quality diagnostic examinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise imaging services, including performance or supervision of tests, and daily management of assigned personnel.
  • Assist in compilation of statistical data for departmental evaluation purposes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual departmental budget and development of administrative and operational policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Responsible for hire, discipline, and promotion of department staff.
  • Collaborate in the development of in-service training for departmental staff.
  • Complete yearly performance appraisals for the staff and handle requests for merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging Program.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
