Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mail and Print Service Technician to join our team at Clayton County Public Schools. As a key member of our printing operations team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating offset presses, digital copiers, and other printing equipment to meet production schedules and ensure high-quality print products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate offset presses, digital copiers, and other printing equipment to produce high-quality print products.
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages to the correct recipients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in monitoring production workflow to ensure timely completion of projects and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the printing operations supervisor to develop and implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff members on printing equipment and software.
  • Process bulk mailings and variable data processing software to ensure accurate and efficient mail delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in printing operations, mailroom management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of computer-based imaging systems and printing industry-specific applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with staff, vendors, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with offset presses, digital copiers, and other printing equipment.
  • Knowledge of postal regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using mail processing equipment, including postage machines and sorting machines.
Working Conditions

This is a 225-day, grade 19 position that requires regular attendance and adherence to a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
