Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Fresh Foods Clerk to join our team. As a Fresh Foods Clerk, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional customer service, preparing and stocking fresh food cases, and maintaining a clean and sanitary department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
  • Take orders, answer questions, and perform suggestive selling to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare, stock, display, straighten, and rotate product in fresh food cases.
  • Prepare production items according to recipes, food safety procedures, and/or specified cooking times.
  • Inspect all product for quality and freshness.
  • Clean and maintain department equipment, including fryers, slicers, and dishwashers.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary department, including washing parts, tables, and wrapping stations.
  • Receive inventory, stock, and verify receipt of ordered product.
  • Follow strict sanitary guidelines and complete associated records.
Requirements
  • Ability to work varied hours, primarily between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm, in a 24/7 operation.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to conduct visual inspections, read and follow production guides, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including hair nets, beard nets, and gloves.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and move rapidly for extended periods.

WinCo Foods offers a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $16.53 to $26.60 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including top-tier medical plans and tuition support.
