Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fresh Foods Clerk to join our team. As a Fresh Foods Clerk, you will be instrumental in providing excellent customer service, preparing and stocking fresh food cases, and maintaining a clean and sanitary department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
  • Take orders, answer questions, and perform suggestive selling.
  • Prepare, stock, display, straighten, and rotate product in fresh food cases.
  • Prepare production items according to recipes, food safety procedures, and/or specified cooking times.
  • Inspect all product for quality and freshness.
  • Clean and maintain department equipment, including fryers, slicers, and dishwashers.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary department, including washing parts, tables, and wrapping stations.
  • Receive inventory, stock, and verify receipt of ordered product.
  • Follow strict sanitary guidelines and complete associated records.
Requirements
  • Ability to work varied hours, primarily between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm, in a 24/7 operation.
  • Effective communication skills to receive orders and perform customer relations.
  • Ability to conduct visual inspections, read and follow production guides, recipes, and product labels.
  • Basic math skills to compute weights and measures.
  • Ability to perform duties with mental alertness and respect for related procedures, equipment, and work aides.
  • Food Handlers Certification (per state laws).
