Job Summary

UTRS Advanced Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team of experienced professionals. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality custom machinery and machine components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, edit, and operate CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal machining centers.
  • Set up and run parts on 4-axis machines independently.
  • Operate multiple machines, depending on the task.
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, thread measurements, and optical comparators.
  • Inspect parts for visual defects and workmanship.
  • Interpret blueprints and have basic knowledge of GD&T.
  • Deburr and clean components before and after machining operations.
  • Maintain traceability on material alloys and raw materials.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools and insert grades.
  • Maintain CNC machines and workspace professionalism.
  • Enter inspection data and other data into ERP systems as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good mechanical skills and experience.
  • High standard of quality and efficiency.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Any milling/turning MFG experience is beneficial.
  • Solid knowledge of shop mathematics.
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • High school diploma required; college degree not required but beneficial.
  • Past or present military personnel are encouraged to apply.
