About the Role

The Geneva Foundation is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in conducting magnetic resonance imaging scans on enrolled research participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct MRI scans on research participants
  • Enter and monitor participant data
  • Transfer images from disk to magnetic media
  • Develop film in automatic processor
  • Adhere to OSHA and infection control procedures
  • Operate a magnetic resonance scanner and obtain images
  • Document all correspondence and communication pertinent to the research
  • Interact and communicate effectively with PI, other site personnel, research participants, and the study sponsor
Requirements
  • Proficiency with MRI process
  • Health care background and/or degree preferred
  • Accredited training in a radiology program
  • Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification
  • Knowledge of military system preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
  • Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of imaging techniques to perform routine tests
  • Knowledge of imaging equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail, and database systems
