Position Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) operates under the guidance of the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing, executing essential care tasks while ensuring a supportive atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support resident engagement through activity programs.
  • Prepare residents for meal times and assist with eating as necessary, while documenting food intake.
  • Follow individualized care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative tasks, and report any changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards, promptly reporting any incidents or injuries to the supervisor.
  • Promote and uphold resident rights and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of residents.
  • Foster positive interactions with residents, visitors, and regulatory agencies, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Be fully trained and prepared to serve as a Transportation Aide when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Adherence to company attendance policies.
  • Physical and sensory capabilities include walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and effective communication skills.
  • Compliance with local health regulations and successful completion of a post-offer health assessment.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
