With a competitive estimated salary of $37.00 - $45.00 per hour, we are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Fleet Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Disability Solutions.

**Job Description:

  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, requiring advanced mechanical knowledge and skill.
  • Demonstrate the ability to diagnose, think critically, and work systematically on various heavy-duty truck systems, including engine, drive-train, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, hydraulic, air systems, and computer diagnosis.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Investigate malfunctions and breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Rebuild and install diesel, gasoline, and compressed natural gas engines by disassembling, inspecting, measuring, and evaluating internal and external engine parts, obtaining new parts, reassembling, and installing engines, and testing equipment per technical requirements.
  • Identify and determine parts required for repairs of disassembled units.
  • Road test fleet when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper functioning.
  • Respond to service calls and perform field repairs.
  • Review and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
  • Complete work within reasonable timeframes.
  • Communicate repair status with management.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software to document and track repair orders and related information, such as parts usage, time allocation, and status updates.
  • Provide technical knowledge training to other mechanics.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work per established safety procedures.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and computer diagnosis techniques.
  • Able to read, understand, and interpret schematics.
  • Possess advanced-level mechanic experience maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Hold valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or B, and possess fall protection certification.
  • Tire Industry Association (TIA) certification is a plus.
