This is an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Ophthalmology team at Mercy Clinic in Springfield, MO.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work as an Advanced Practitioner in our Ophthalmology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our team of ophthalmologists and optometrists, and contributing to the development of our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive eye care to patients, including history taking, examination, and treatment planning.
- Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and optometrists to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Contribute to the education and training of other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Missouri.
- Completion of a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner education program.
- Experience working in an ophthalmology setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
