The Business Intelligence Analyst will be an integral part of our Data Science and Operations Quality team, tasked with generating actionable insights that enhance brand performance, foster continuous improvement, and uphold accountability in guest experiences, both onboard and onshore.
The primary responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst will include quantitative analysis, data visualization, and report generation, all of which are crucial for promoting operational understanding and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and Dashboards:
Develop, refine, and sustain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and Tableau to deliver essential insights into guest experience metrics, operational performance, and customer relations.
Analyze onboard data, survey responses, and customer relations data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
Provide detailed voyage-level insights regarding staterooms, compensation, loyalty, incident categories, and voyage comparisons to enhance comprehension of the customer journey.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Gather and scrutinize data from diverse sources to pinpoint trends, patterns, and opportunities that relate to guest experience and operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ascertain data requirements and ensure data integrity.
Improve data collection methods to capture valuable information necessary for operational analysis and develop a data warehouse to integrate data from multiple systems, optimizing further analytics and ensuring data quality.
Data Visualization:
Create engaging visual representations to convey complex data findings in a clear and accessible manner. Present insights to key stakeholders, including department heads, using visualizations and reports.
Utilize data visualization tools (Python, Tableau, Power BI) to derive guest insights and identify customer characteristics.
Identify, design, and implement internal process enhancements, including the automation of manual tasks, optimization of data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for scalability. Establish the necessary infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources using SQL.
Develop analytical tools that leverage the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other critical business performance metrics.
Support Key Driver Analysis and conduct exploratory and prescriptive analyses to evaluate the category impact on NPS and identify influential drivers.
Please note that this is a long-term temporary to hire contract position, and you will be engaged and compensated through our payrolling agency. This role is fully remote.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, analytics, computer science, engineering, information technology, or equivalent educational or professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with analytical applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or addressing business challenges) and coding (Python, R, SQL) (or 2 years of experience with a master's degree).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Extensive experience with SQL and database concepts is required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel is required.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Experience in writing ETL processes is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems and their optimization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects, demonstrating high self-motivation.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation
• Base Hourly Range: $30.00 to $40.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to each candidate's qualifications and experience.
