Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our technical development activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and deliverability of our projects, as well as guiding and developing employees and managers on their individual technical career paths.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Lead technical proposals to customers and support sales campaigns
    • Conduct technical and deliverable reviews on work completed before delivery to customer
    • Monitor the technical health of work packages
    • Creation and maintain Standard Work and Work Instructions
    • Conduct service-specific training
    • Manage, update, and create and training material. Support training initiatives as needed
    • Support root cause analyses and improvement actions
    • Leverage technical knowledge to support pilot projects and lead Technical Excellence Demonstrators.
    • Support technical capability assessments of the team members in your service
    • Ensure the pool of technical reviewers is maintained for your program
    • Participate in international communities in your field and build industry network
    • Support hiring by conducting Technical interviews and training other technical interviewers

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • • Drive the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements.
    • Use CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications.
    • Conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and prototyping activities.
    • Analyze and evaluate designs for strength, durability, and performance.
    • Lead cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.
    • Support production, testing, and validation of prototypes and final products.
    • Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
    • Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
    • Mentor and train junior engineers.
    • Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.
    • Provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team.

Requirements:

  • • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related technical field preferred but not required
    • 8-12 years of career experience
    • Experience in leading technical development activities
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in leading project presentations
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
