About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team at Novo Nordisk. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of new building construction projects. You will work closely with our project management and execution team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Oversee the development and implementation of engineering systems
  • Drive continuous process improvement using Lean tools and techniques
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, meeting targets and expectations
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish project goals and objectives
  • Recruit, train, oversee, and deploy technical and functional staff
  • Develop and manage project budgets and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing other managers required; experience in leading high-performing project teams preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of proven and successful project management experience required, including knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean, process improvement, systematic troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledgeable in core work processes and GMP concepts required
  • Demonstrates functional/business understanding as well as superior written and oral communication skills required
  • Extensive knowledge of project management, including the ability to create work plans and detailed project schedules
  • Proficient in problem-solving, negotiation, conflict management, and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to act as project lead and lead cross-functional project teams in the development and implementation of projects required
  • Ability to influence others on objectives and project outcomes required
  • Basic understanding of contractual documents required
  • Ability to read/review design drawings (CAD) with a basic understanding of P&ID's required
  • Thorough understanding of technical documents such as URS, SAT, FAT, and Validation Protocols required
