Job Title: Staff Nurse - Intermediate Care

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Intermediate Care Unit. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BLS within 5 years of start date.
