Role Summary:
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing patient medication therapies. This includes interpreting and evaluating physician orders, processing medication reorders, and managing pharmacy requisitions. The pharmacist will also provide essential information regarding drug therapies to guarantee the precise and timely administration of medications and intravenous solutions to patients of all ages, adhering to all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as established peer standards and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient medication therapies.
- Interpret and fill valid physician orders and pharmacy requisitions.
- Provide comprehensive information regarding drug therapies.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of six months of practical internship experience.
Licensure: Valid Pharmacy License and Registration in the relevant state.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 36 hours per week, including rotating day and evening shifts, as well as weekend and holiday coverage.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform significant manual tasks and maintain motor coordination.
- Some occupational risks may be present.
- Must be capable of exerting up to 50 lbs. of force.
- Potential exposure to various environmental factors.
