Radiology Imaging Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate x-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images of the body, interpreted by a Radiologist.
- Prepare patients for exams, position them correctly, and instruct them on the procedure.
- Regulate and operate equipment to minimize radiation dose to patients.
- Review patient information, explain procedures, and obtain written consent.
- Document clinical patient information, including medical history and allergies.
- Transport patients to and from the department or their room, and contact nurses about patients connected to devices or monitors.
- Interact and communicate with nursing caregivers to obtain signed consent forms, assist with exams, and determine the length of time patients will be in the department.
- Check written orders from physicians before procedures and document in the chart after procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) certification.
- Florida licensed as a General Radiographer (RAD).
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
- Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting.
This position requires a mixture of moderate to heavy work, including frequent walking, sitting, and standing. The ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments, and respond to numerous requests is essential. The ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers is also required.
Confidentiality:This position requires limited access to the medical record for the purpose of verifying orders in the charts or prescription and to sign off after exam completion. The employee will limit the PHI disclosed or requested to the amount reasonably necessary to achieve the purpose of the request.
The disclosures or requests that occur on a routine or recurring basis include every patient's orders need to be verified prior to the exam. The employee makes these disclosures for the purpose of making sure that the correct exam is performed due to the doctor's orders as well as signing off that the exam was completed or the request.
