Physician Assistant Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Critical Care team at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. As a critical care physician assistant, you will be responsible for managing the care of critically ill adult patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Manage care of critically ill adult patients, including ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing invasive procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide expert education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services.
- Current certification as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
- Current licensure in the state of Illinois as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
- Current Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Two years of critical care patient management experience preferred.
