Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, prepare charts, and update patient demographic information.
  • Billing and Insurance: Verify patient information, ensure accurate billing, and track encounters.
  • Patient Support: Prepare patients for exams, take vitals, and assist with phlebotomy and surgical instrument preparation.
  • Medical Documentation: Transcribe notes, update medical records, and file/scan results.
  • Care Team Participation: Collaborate with the care team to promote a functional care team and participate in quality assurance activities.
Requirements
  • High school graduate and completion of one year training as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Minimum three years experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date.
