About the Role

Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families.

Hickory Recovery is a leading provider of mental health care, offering personalized treatment plans and a supportive environment for individuals struggling with mental health issues or co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medication counts and maintain emergency drug kits
  • Document patient education and progress
  • Follow admission and discharge procedures
  • Monitor health record documentation for timeliness and accuracy
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Perform pain assessments and manage pain effectively
  • Report medication errors or near misses to the Director of Nursing
  • Use two identifiers when administering medications and document
  • Look for opportunities to improve patient care and ensure quality standards are met
