Project Overview:
This role requires a dedicated presence in the project office, adhering to a 9/80 work schedule that provides every other Friday off. The position focuses on engineering design for high-level waste electrical systems and equipment, essential for the facility's procurement and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:


The primary engineering tasks involve the design and development of electrical systems, utilizing software tools such as ETAP, SETROUTE, and BlockDraw. The engineer will need to interpret and apply various engineering discipline drawings, including wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and system calculations.


Additional responsibilities include conducting special tasks and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Experience with electronic Cable Management Systems, such as SETROUTE, is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications. The engineer will also be expected to lead small teams of engineers and designers.

Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, accompanied by a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check, including verification of education and employment history.

Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a solid understanding of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards. Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and equipment layouts is required, along with experience in developing procurement documentation.


At least 5 years of experience with ETAP and other electrical design tools is necessary, as well as excellent communication skills. EIT Certification is preferred or the ability to obtain it within a year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 years of experience is advantageous. Candidates with PE Registration and previous leadership experience in similar projects will be prioritized.
