Medical Assistant I Role

First Choice Community Healthcare INC is seeking a Medical Assistant I to join our team. As a Medical Assistant I, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of patient visits, including verifying insurance and explaining fee schedules.
- Register, schedule, and verify appointments using our practice management program.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to make their visit a pleasant experience.
- Perform various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, obtaining lab results, and assisting with exams and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED certificate.
- Graduation from a technical school as a Medical Assistant or equivalent.
- CPR Certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire and maintained.
Working Conditions:
- Work is mostly inside a clinic in a controlled environment.
- Normal clinic and safety precautions and practices are required.
