Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Special Assets Officer. This role will provide support to senior team members in managing a portfolio of distressed and stressed corporate, real estate, and project finance assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements and KPI reporting of Guarantors and stressed and distressed Borrowers to develop three-statement models and valuation models to structure workout strategies.
  • Prepare and process portfolio reviews, credit action applications, and upgrade/downgrade memos to present recommendations to senior management.
  • Negotiate amendments, waivers, restructuring proposals, and credit documentation with Borrowers, syndicate members, and other key creditors to develop and implement restructuring strategies.
  • Perform due diligence to identify risks associated with credit actions and work collaboratively across multiple internal business units.
  • Provide support to junior staff and mentor them in credit analysis and financial modeling.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Credit Training, Financial Analysis, or High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Credit Training, Financial Analysis.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Credit.
  • Preferred Area of Study: Accounting, Finance, or Credit.
  • Preferred Area of Experience: Commercial Banking or Advisory.
  • Skills: Written Communication and Memoranda, MS Office and Financial Modelling/Valuation, Financial and Credit Analysis, Read Credit/Legal Documentation, Negotiation and Influence Others, People Management.
Compensation

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience. If hired in New York, the range is generally $160,957.00 to $246,800.00 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
