Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique requirements of each student.
- Deliver direct educational support and instruction to students with varying learning abilities.
- Work collaboratively with general education staff to modify curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Administer assessments to monitor student progress and refine teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage in regular communication with parents, guardians, and educational personnel to address student needs.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation of student achievements and IEP meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Possession of a valid teaching license in Tennessee with a Special Education endorsement.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with middle school students and familiarity with IEP development is advantageous.
