Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Structural Designer to join our dynamic team at Jobot. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects that will test and develop your skills in civil engineering, design, projects, RFI, construction, and P.E.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and architects to design structural systems for various construction projects.
  • Utilize your expertise in civil engineering to ensure that all designs are structurally sound, safe, and meet all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Use your skills in design to create structures that are not only robust and safe, but also visually appealing and in line with the overall design vision of the project.
  • Manage projects effectively, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Respond to RFIs, providing clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant parties.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction, ensuring that the structural systems are being implemented correctly and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Utilize your P.E. skills to carry out detailed inspections of the structural systems, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, design, projects, RFI, construction, and P.E.
  • Strong skills in project management, with a proven track record of managing projects effectively and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to respond to RFIs in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
  • A keen eye for design, with the ability to create structures that are both structurally sound and visually appealing.
  • A thorough understanding of all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • P.E. certification is highly desirable.
