About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Marketing Data Scientist to join our team at Zocdoc. As a Principal Marketing Data Scientist, you will collaborate with stakeholders throughout the marketing teams to identify, structure, and lead high-priority analytics projects.

This role combines a deep knowledge of various marketing channels and their nuances with cross-channel expertise and sharp business acumen to drive key business metrics.

As a Marketing Data Scientist, you'll analyze performance data to measure lift driven by our marketing efforts, partner with internal and external marketing teams to recommend shifts in strategy, and leverage your knowledge of Python and/or R to build scalable solutions.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing analytics, plus other analytics functions, strategy consulting, or investment banking
  • 3+ years of experience owning marketing attribution across multiple channels at a consumer technology company
  • Familiarity with digital marketing or analytics tools/platforms (Google Analytics, Google Adwords, DoubleClick, Facebook, SA360, Tableau, Looker, Amplitude)
  • Experience with MMM / MTA models and expertise with regression-based measurement approaches
  • Passion for measuring performance for both digital marketing and offline marketing, conducting incrementality / lift studies, and running other A/B tests related to marketing
  • Expertise in SQL as well as Python and/or R
  • A BA/BS in a quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, statistics
  • An MBA or MA/MS in a quantitative field is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
