Your Responsibilities:
We are in search of a Lead Front-End Engineer who can deliver high-quality software by applying best practices and a mobile-first mindset. The ideal candidate should be adept at transforming designs from FIGMA into WordPress, proficiently implementing HTML/CSS, creating necessary ACF fields, and integrating interactive components using JavaScript, while also conducting comprehensive testing before deployment. Additionally, strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with other teams, providing clear documentation for new feature implementations.
You should possess sufficient experience to make pragmatic decisions while having a solid professional background to consider long-term implications. Confidence in mentoring and guiding junior front-end developers is also expected.
In this role, you will engage in both ongoing projects and the development of new initiatives from the ground up. We value self-management, ownership, and rapid delivery; you will work alongside a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with a Visual & UI Designer, Product Manager, and fellow developers. Our focus is on integrating across multiple websites while ensuring consistency, speed, and adherence to SEO requirements. We continuously evaluate the latest front-end technologies to determine their suitability for our needs, guided by a pragmatic approach and business requirements.
Required Skills/Experience/Mindset:
- 4+ years of professional experience in markup and design integration into websites (proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
- 3+ years of professional experience within the WordPress ecosystem.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with PHP and WordPress themes/plugins.
- Strong knowledge of fields management plugins such as ACF, MetaBox, JetEngine, etc.
- Emphasis on integration performance (resources, speed, sizes, etc.).
- Understanding of UX and usability principles and progressive enhancement.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, eager to find reliable solutions that meet project needs and constraints.
- Proficient communication skills in English.
- (Bonus) Familiarity with npm, ES6, etc.
- (Bonus) Experience with testing tools (BrowserStack, GhostInspector).
- (Bonus) Knowledge of modern stacks (Gulp, Babel, Webpack, etc.).
