About the Role

The Associate Product Owner will play a key role in the development and delivery of our products, working closely with the product manager and development team to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the product manager to understand the product vision and translate it into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Work closely with the development team to refine user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear, actionable requirements that align with the product vision and meet customer needs.
  • Track project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, and allocate resources effectively to balance project demands with resource availability and constraints.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize disruptions and achieve project objectives.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks, and monitor and track risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Define and analyze key product metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the product team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, aeronautical engineering, meteorology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in a product ownership role, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles, with hands-on experience leading Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certification in Agile or Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Agile Certified Practitioner) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the aeronautical industry, weather forecasting, or related domains is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the aviation or meteorology sectors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
