Position Summary:

As a Certified Electrician or Journeyman Electrical Technician, your primary responsibilities will include executing electrical installations, diagnosing electrical malfunctions, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations. You will engage with various residential electrical systems. The ideal candidate must possess a valid electrician license, demonstrate strong technical abilities, and prioritize electrical safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Installation: Execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and components, in accordance with local and national electrical standards.
  2. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical issues, pinpoint faults, and carry out necessary repairs to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
  3. Blueprint Interpretation: Analyze electrical schematics, blueprints, and drawings to ascertain the configuration of electrical systems and installations.
  4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a secure working environment and reduce risks.
  5. Code Adherence: Ensure that all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
  6. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain electrical tools, equipment, and materials to ensure optimal functionality.
  7. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project leaders and team members to execute electrical projects effectively and within budget constraints.
  8. Client Interaction: Engage with clients, providing clear explanations and recommendations while addressing inquiries professionally.
  9. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including work orders, reports, and inspection documentation.
  10. Mentorship: Offer guidance and support to apprentice electricians as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Valid electrician license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational education is advantageous).
  • Demonstrated experience as a journeyman electrician, with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
