Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, with experience in assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems. You will be responsible for preparing work areas, installing electrical components, connecting wiring and equipment, and operating equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
  • Prepare work areas for installation of equipment.
  • Install electrical components.
  • Connect wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems.
  • Read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans.
  • Secure and lock up equipment after use.
Requirements:
  • State Journeyman Electrician Certification is a requirement.
  • A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands & Requirements:

The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required. You must be able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.

You must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.

The starting base pay for this role is between $48.00 p/hr. and $56.00 p/hr. The base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
