Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer

At CVS Health, we're committed to delivering enhanced human-centric healthcare for a rapidly changing world. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing digital solutions that transform our culture and accelerate innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and define technical architecture and infrastructure for digital solutions
  • Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to project requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make high-level architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions
  • Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution
  • Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in large-scale software development
  • 3+ years of experience in developing applications/web services and cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, REST API, web services, JPA, JUnit, Mockito, and other tech stacks
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile development
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 3+ years of experience working in cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, AWS
  • 3+ years of experience with build and deploy services using GitHub, CircleCI, Harness, Jenkins, GitLab as part of CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A track record of writing clean, high-quality, high-performing, scalable code
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with optimization skills to improve performance, scalability, and usability of our applications
  • Good presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with distributed systems
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding and working experience in IT Security best practices and other compliance standards such as ADA, HIPAA, PCI DSS
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
