Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Operator to join our team at Byrne Dewitt LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate and maintain production equipment, including bailers, trash compactors, and foamers, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  2. Perform quality control checks on a regular basis to ensure compliance with GMPs and company standards.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to resolve mechanical malfunctions and optimize production line operations.
  4. Assist in training and building competence on key areas in production, including fillers, forklifts, and production lines.
  5. Comply with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety on assigned shifts.
  6. Report food safety problems and initiate corrective actions to ensure a safe environment.
  7. Ensure work areas are sanitary and adhere to sanitation practices.
Requirements
  1. Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts to perform job tasks.
  2. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  4. Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  5. Ability to operate facility equipment as required.
  6. Satisfactory completion of company training requirements.
Work Environment

The Packaging Operator will work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to hot, cold, wet, and humid conditions. The role requires the ability to stand and sit for extended periods, as well as lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $20.50 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
