Job Summary:

The NICU Director at AHMC Healthcare is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise personnel to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Current California RN license.
  • Current NRP and BLS provider certifications.
  • Certificate of completion from a NICU training program.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a regional or community NICU.
  • NICU CCRN certification preferred.
